Congressional District 2 Representative Rick Larsen (D) visits Mountlake Terrace on Wednesday as part of a one-day tour around Everett and south Snohomish County. Rep. Larsen is scheduled to tour the SNOCOM 911 facilities, 6204-215th St. S.W., from 4-5 p.m.
SNOCOM provides 911 dispatch to Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Woodway and portions of unincorporated south Snohomish County.
Rep. Larsen is running for re-election in a district sharply changed by redistricting, adding sections of south Snohomish County while losing large areas of rural Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom Counties. His four opponents in the Aug. 7 primary election are Dan Matthews (R), Eli Olson (R), John Shoop (R) and Mike Lapoint (99% Party). The top two-vote getters move on to the general election in November.
