Reminder: Return your primary election ballot by Aug. 2

election-2016-buttonThis Tuesday, Aug. 2 is primary election day, with a ballot that includes races for statewide offices, including governor, plus State Legislature as well as U.S. Congress.

For Mountlake Terrace voters, the ballot also includes a $0.44 levy lid lift, which will fund the city’s rent at Interim City Hall and parks maintenance.

Ballots and voters’ pamphlets were mailed to registered voters in mid-July. If you haven’t yet filled out your ballot, you can return it through a ballot drop box or through the mail.

There are ballot drop boxes located just outside the downtown Edmonds Library on Main Street and in front of Lynnwood City Hall at 19100 44th Ave. W. If mailing via the U.S. Post Office, use a stamp and make sure your ballot will be postmarked or cancelled by Election Day, Aug. 2.

Preliminary results will be posted on the Snohomish County elections website shortly after 8 p.m. Aug. 2. MLTnews will also provide local results the evening of Aug. 2.
