Hear that loud barking all over Puget Sound again? No wonder, 1st Security Bank’s “Most Awesome Dog Contest” wags its tail on Facebook now through Oct, 24.

Your dog could become the bank’s next “Spokes Pooch.”

This is the second year the bank has held the contest, which proved to be popular in 2013 with an outpouring of precious pooch photos.

The prizes benefit both the pet and its owner: a spa day for your dog at a spa in your area (a $75 value); a photo shoot for you and your pooch with a pet photographer ($250); a $250 gift certificate at Petco; and the chance for your dog to become a star.

All your dog has to do is be cute. All you have to do is 1) send a clear color web-ready image of your pooch (no humans please) to MostAwesomeDog@fsbwa.com; 2) include the pet’s name and breed, your name, email address, zip code and phone number.  Full details are available on the bank’s website, www.fsbwa.com/community.

Next, get your family, friends and all of pup’s pals to “like” the bank’s Facebook page. Photos will be reviewed and then posted through Oct. 24 when the contest closes. The dog with the most “likes” wins. Employees of 1st Security Bank and past winners are not eligible to participate or win.

The contest is being held in conjunction with the bank’s “Pets Are People, Too!” campaign supporting PAWS. 1st Security Bank’s Lynnwood Branch is collecting food, toys and supplies for all pets, along with help-care items for wildlife in need. The campaign kicked off in September and runs for a full year.
