The Cheeseburger Babies Foundation is preparing for the Independence Day Celebration returning to Mountlake Terrace on July 3.
On Tuesday, June 28, a Dining 4 Dollars event at Red Onion Burgers, located at 21005 44th Ave. W #101, will benefit the event.
Red Onion Burgers will donate 20 percent of its sales, 50 percent of credit card tips and 100 percent of cash tips received between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. to the fireworks celebration. Tuesday’s event will include a raffle–prizes were donated by Starbucks, SOG Knives, Studio 6 Extended Stay, Romio’s Pizza and Red Onion Burgers, among others.
Local celebrities will also be locked “in jail” to be bailed out by donations from the crowd.
Those looking to donate their time to the 3rd of July celebration can volunteer. Six volunteers are still needed to help seat people, make milk shakes, scoop ice cream and bus tables. Volunteers can sign up for a three-hour shift. Prospective volunteers should call Seaun Richards, councilmember and owner of Red Onion Burgers, at 425-218-5996.
The Cheeseburger Babies Foundation is hosting the Mountlake Terrace 3rd of July Fireworks Celebration.
“I am proud to work with the City and move the fireworks show to Lake Ballinger,” Richards said. “The new move to Lake Ballinger will give the City of Mountlake Terrace a bigger and brighter show, and the move to the Third of July gets us a show that includes fireworks never seen before in Mountlake Terrace.”
