Mountlake Terrace residents can give back on Earth Day by volunteering to clean up Ballinger Park.

The cleanup event begins at 9 a.m. on April 23. Volunteers will be working until about noon.

Volunteers should meet at the Ballinger Clubhouse (Senior Center) parking lot, located at 23000 Lakeview Dr. wearing comfortable work clothes, with gloves and tools in hand to get their assignment. This year’s projects include weed control, litter clean up and debris removal.

Power tools cannot be used.

Groups can contact Parks Services and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch at 425-776-1811 to register in advance.

The Mountlake Terrace City Council will host an appreciation lunch after the work party.
