Registration is underway for the Mountlake Terrace 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, July 26 at Mountlake Terrace High School.
The race starts at 8:30 a.m. and will start and finish at Mountlake Terrace High School, while winding its way through the scenic backroads of Mountlake Terrace and Terrace Creek Park.
The Cedar Way Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (CWE PTO) and the Tour de Terrace are sponsoring the run, which is a benefit for the CWE PTO with a portion of the funds going to other local public elementary schools in Mountlake Terrace.
CWE PTO with community sponsors hosts this annual event to raise much needed funds for student educational activities, to encourage students and families to exercise in a fun way and to bring the community together to support local public schools.
Entry fees are $25/participant, $20/kids (6-17), free/kids (0-5). T-shirts are included if registered by July 7. They will be available day prior/race day with registration pick up.

Pick up your bib number and t-shirt on Friday, July 25 at Tour de Terrace (4-9 p.m.) or Saturday, July 26 at Mountlake Terrace High School (7:30-8:30 a.m.). Runners may register on Friday at Tour de Terrace or on the event morning but T-shirts may not be available. Awards and a raffle will be at 10 a.m.
Businesses and individuals are encouraged to offer financial or in-kind support. Volunteers also are needed to help on the day of the fun run with registration or to staff the start, end line or course route.
