This 8-week series meets on Mondays, 1 – 3:30 p.m. through Nov. 17 and teaches practical strategies to reduce the fear of falling in people 60 years and older.
Workshop topics include:
- Setting realistic goals for increased activity
- Changing the environment to reduce factors contributing to falls
- Learning to shift from negative to positive thought patterns
- Problem solving
Every day, one in three older adults fall which potentially will rob them of their independence.
