On Monday, March 29, two City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department personnel received awards from the DUI and Target Zero Traffic Safety Task Force at the 2009 Traffic Safety Awards Luncheon.
Officer Brian Osborne received a “Leaders in Law Enforcement” award for his efforts in getting impaired drivers off the streets. Snohomish County DUI and
Target Zero Task Force Chair Conrad Thompson said, “Mountlake Terrace Officer Brian Osborne’s traffic safety efforts have made him the leader for his department in removing 56 impaired drivers in 2009. This is in addition to his regular patrol duties, arrests, and daily incidents. He became a Drug Recognition Expert in 2009 as well and has definitely shown his strong commitment to traffic safety.”
Tracy McMillan, DUI and Target Zero Task Force Manager, recognized City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department Management Analyst Joie Worthen as a “Task Force Ambassador” for her participation in the Washington Traffic Safety Commission traffic grants and serving on Task Force Committees.
“My congratulations to both Officer Osborne and Management Analyst Worthen for their dedication and commitment to keeping our roads and highways clear of impaired drivers.” said Chief of Police Greg Wilson.
