The long wait for fans of the Intimidator is almost over as a Mountlake Terrace restaurant is about to re-open four months after a fire shut down the business, Red Onion Burgers will open at its new location at 212th Street Southwest and 44th Avenue West on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m., announced owner Seaun Richards.

An October fire that started in the kitchen after employees had left for the night made the restaurant’s prior location on 56th Avenue West unusable. When Richards and the building’s owner couldn’t come to an agreement on repairs to the property, Richards decided to move the restaurant to available space in the Albertson’s shopping center.

Richards plans a media blitz in the next few days announcing the re-opening as “After the Fire – The Red Onion Rises.” He promises a number of special activities and giveaways during the restaurant’s first weekend at its new location; for more information visit the restaurant’s Facebook page.
