Real Hero awards will be presented at the 20th annual Real Heroes Breakfast on Dec. 10, 2015 at Tulalip Resort Casino Orca Ballroom. The event is sponsored by the American Red Cross serving Snohomish County.

Last year, the American Red Cross, Snohmish County Chapter, recognized 17 individuals who had demonstrated exceptional courage at the 19th annual Real Heroes Breakfast. The event was attended by more than 1,000 community and local government leaders, key representatives from police, fire, emergency and rescue services, donors and business executives.

The breakfast is a fundraising event to support local disaster relief efforts. Annually, the chapter assists over 150 local families affected by fires and other local disasters, presents disaster education and preparedness programs, and trains people in live-saving skills such as First Aid/CPR/AED and water safety.
