Public hearing on budget set for Monday’s City Council meeting

City-of-MLT-logoThe public gets to have its say on the 2015-16 budget at Monday’s Mountlake Terrace City Council meeting.

A public hearing on the 2015-16 Proposed Biennial Budget is scheduled.

The Council also is set to consider adoption of a resolution setting Recreation and Parks Fee for 2015-2019. In 2000, the Council adopted an ordinance that enables Recreation and Parks fees to be set by resolution in a five-year schedule.

As a result of a review process a number of program fees identified to increase in 2015 are recommended to remain at the current 2014 fee schedule or reduced. The fees were detailed during an Oct. 23 work session.

Mountlake Terrace Police Chief Greg Wilson also will present the 2014 third quarter city of Mountlake Terrace Police Department Report. Wilson will also present the information on the Department’s Code Enforcement, Electronic Home Monitoring and Animal Control programs.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Interim City Hall Council Chambers, 6100 219th Street SW, Suite 220.
