In order to learn more about the food and nutritional practices of the community, the Edmonds School District’s Food Service Department applied for and received a $10,680 grant from Verdant Health Commission.
The Federal Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 requires comprehensive assessment, evaluation and development of strategies and programs that support healthy eating, nutrition activity and wellness programs.
