With approximately 400 ballots left to count in Snohomish County and 2,000 left to count in King County our local primary races are all but settled.
In the 1st Legislative District, which is most of MLT, the top two candidates for LD Position 1 are Derek Stanford (D) and Dennis Richter (R). Dennis Richter narrowly beat out Mountlake Terrace High School teacher Vince DeMiero by under 200 votes.
For LD1 Position 2 Heidi Munson (R) and Luis Moscoso (D) will be facing off on the ballot in November.
