Three Mountlake Terrace Hawks punched their tickets to Mat Classic XXVIII, the state high school wrestling championships, with strong outings at the 3A Region 1 tournament held Saturday in Marysville.
Ilai Wilson qualified for the state tournament as a result of his third place finish in the 220-pound weight class on Saturday. Chaplyn Mack placed fourth in the 160-pound class while Gene An grabbed fourth in the 113-pound class; both will be competing at the state tourney.
Mat Classic XXVIII will be held Feb. 19-20 at the Tacoma Dome. For a schedule of the tournament and more information, click here.
