Prep tennis: Hawks snap six-match losing streak

m_with_hawk_200x200The Mountlake Terrace tennis team ended a six-match losing streak and picked up its first Wesco League victory of the season Monday with a 5-2 win over Shorecrest at Mountlake Terrace High School.

Terrace was led to victory by their four singles’ competitors, Jeremy Ansdell, Henry Brener, Adam Lorraine and Collin Rhodes, who all picked up wins in their matches.

The Hawks will have their hands full in their next outing as they will face 10-1 Shorewood on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Shorewood High School. The T-Birds are undefeated in eight Wesco 3A matches this season and defeated Terrace 6-1 in an earlier matchup on Sept. 22.
