Mountlake Terrace edged district rival Meadowdale 3-2 in both teams’ Wesco 3A baseball opener Friday at Meadowdale High School.

In non-league softball action, the Hawks fell 18-7 to Ferndale in a six-inning contest at Mountlake Terrace High School.
