The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors scored single runs in the first, third and fourth inning Monday to slip past the Mountlake Terrace Hawks 3-0 at Edmonds-Woodway High School.
Warriors Kendra Cooper, Ari Girouard and Jackie Lovelace all picked up RBIs in the victory.
Kyra Collingridge and Mariah Woolery combined for the two-hit shutout for E-W. Mountlake Terrace hitters could only muster two singles in the game, Kira Doan in the fourth inning and Julia Brocksmith in the seventh inning.
Both E-W and Terrace have one game remaining in their 2016 regular season: on Tuesday, May 10, the Warriors hit the road to face rival Meadowdale while the Hawks will head home to host the Shorewood Thunderbirds.
Edmonds-Woodway and Mountlake Terrace have both clinched spots in the 2016 District 1 3A Softball Tournament that begins May 17.
