Mountlake Terrace’s big three picked up right where they left off last season, earning easy wins in their first outing of the year.

But it wasn’t enough for the Hawks as the girls tennis team fell to Bothell 4-3 at Bothell High School on Monday.

Hawk Nicki Bouche led Terrace with a straight set 6-0, 6-0 victory in the No. 1 singles match; Tina Liu and Allison Lorraine also defeated their singles’ opponents with little trouble.

Terrace will shoot for their first team victory on Wednesday when they travel to Marysville-Getchell for a non-league match.
