Mountlake Terrace’s Riley Zucker showed she will be a force to reckon with during the 2014-15 prep basketball season as the senior led the Lady Hawks to a 48-33 victory over the visiting Vashon Island Pirates Wednesday night at Mountlake Terrace High School.

Zucker scored 24 points, which was half of the Lady Hawks total points in the season-opening win.

Mountlake Terrace will get a much fiercer test in their next game as they travel to Mukilteo on Friday night to face the 4A Kamiak Knights, who opened their season on Wednesday with a victory over Everett 43-35. Tipoff is slated for 7:15 p.m.
