The Cascade Bruins used a big 18-8 advantage in the third quarter to defeat the Mountlake Terrace Hawks 44-34 in a non-league girls basketball match-up in Everett on Wednesday.
Senior Riley Zucker tallied 13 points to lead the Hawks in the loss. Jorie Lambert added 10 points, with Skylar Zenk (6 points) and Ashley Klippert (5 points) being the only others to score for Mountlake Terrace.
The Hawks will host the Post Falls (Idaho) Trojans on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Mountlake Terrace High School; tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.
