The Mountlake Terrace Hawks will try to put a tough loss from last week behind them as the team has scheduled a game against the Mountain View Thunder for Friday, Nov. 1, at Edmonds Stadium; kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
The Thunder, from the Vancouver area, has an overall record of 5-3, 2-2 in the 3A Greater St. Helens League. Mountain View is still in the running for a 3A playoff berth but has a bye this week from GSHL play, enabling the team to schedule a non-league game against Mountlake Terrace.
The Hawks (3-4 overall) have finished 2A Northwest Conference play following a 14-13 loss to the Cedarcrest Red Wolves on Oct. 25. The defeat eliminated Terrace from earning a berth in the postseason 2A playoffs.
The Mountlake Terrace – Mountain View game in the only football game to be played at Edmonds Stadium this week, so the kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The other three Edmonds School District teams that share the stadium (Edmonds-Woodway, Lynnwood, Meadowdale) all have road games against Wesco League North Conference opponents on Friday.
Win or lose Friday, the Hawks are expected to play one more game in their 2019 season; An opponent for Terrace has not been determined yet, but the game will likely take place at Edmonds Stadium on Nov. 7 or 8.
