Prep boys basketball: Mountlake Terrace downs Lynnwood

Two Mountlake Terrace Hawks recorded double-doubles Saturday night as Derek Anyimah scored 20 points and collected 11 rebounds while Ryan Lacasse tallied 12 points and gathered 11 rebounds in the team’s 66-42 victory over Lynnwood at Mountlake Terrace High School.

Royals Julian Walker and Bryce Milne each scored 10 points in the losing effort.

After falling behind by 13 points at halftime 36-23, the Royals chipped away at the Mountlake Terrace lead after the break. But poor shooting doomed Lynnwood in the final quarter; the Royals were outscored in the final eight minutes 18-3, giving the Hawks the runaway victory.

The game was the Wesco 3A South opener for both squads.
