The Mountlake Terrace Hawks baseball team has struggled in close games this season, going 2-6 in matchups decided by one-run or in the final inning. The Hawks continued that trend on Friday.
Terrace was defeated 6-5 in extra innings by the visiting Edmonds-Woodway Warriors to close out their three-game spring break series.
The Warriors claimed Friday’s game by pushing a lone run across in the top of the ninth inning.
Kosta Cooper not only earned the win on the mound for E-W, but was also the team’s offensive star with a triple, two RBIs and a run scored. Carson Dallas went 3-for-5 at the plate with two home runs, a double and three RBIs for the Hawks.
