Prep baseball: Hawks fall 5-1 to Warriors

Edmonds-Woodway avoided a sweep at the hands of Mountlake Terrace Friday as the Warriors defeated the Hawks 5-1 in a Wesco 3A South baseball match-up at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

The Warriors jumped on Terrace starting pitcher Jason Shevenko for four runs in the bottom of the first inning, then cruised to an easy victory.

Warrior starting pitcher Chantz Justice struck out five Hawks and earned the victory. Justice and teammate Garrison Krohn each stroked doubles to pace the E-W hitting attack.
