Many Mountlake Terrace residents and businesses were without power Saturday after a strong windstorm knocked down trees and power lines throughout the area.
Snohomish County PUD spokesman Neil Neurotsos said up to 150,000 PUD customers were without power, representing about half of its customer base.
My Neighborhood News reporter Larry Vogel said he was driving around Edmonds assessing the damage around 4 p.m. when he spoke to a PUD line crew, who said power was going to be out “for a long time.”
Vogel said that while a few traffic lights were working in downtown Edmonds, a majority of lights were out at major intersections throughout the area. Many lights in Mountlake Terrace also were out.
