Police roped off the parking lot to Terrace Creek Park on Saturday morning while search and rescue crews comb the park for any sign of Cheryl DeBoer, a Mountlake Terrace woman who was last heard from at 7 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8.
Snohomish County Search and Rescue personnel were in the park Saturday to look for any trace of DeBoer.
Mountlake Terrace Police Commander Kevin Pickard said it was impossible to close the park completely because of its configuration, but closing the parking lot would limit foot traffic in the park. He expected the park to reopen by late Saturday afternoon.
Volunteers have been searching for DeBoer since the day she vanished. Volunteer organizers say they will take the search one day at a time. Search groups did meet on Saturday to canvas Mountlake Terrace neighborhoods and hand out flyers.
Saturday, a GoFundMe page was created to support the family. It had raised nearly $1,500 by 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
Mountlake Terrace Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious on Monday morning near the Transit Center parking lot to give them a call at 425-670-8260.
