Police in Search of Robbery Suspect

The Herald reports that the Mountlake Terrace police are in search of a robbery suspect. The robbery ocurred near 219th and 44th on Friday afernoon.

Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a woman in her home Friday afternoon.

The woman, in her 50s, arrived home to find a man standing in her kitchen, Mountlake Terrace police Sgt. Doug Hansen said. The man told the woman he didn’t want to hurt her and then demanded drugs, Hansen said. The woman, a recovering addict, asked the man if he wanted her methadone. The man grabbed the woman by the hair and pulled her through the house.

The woman opened a safe. The suspect pushed her out of the way and grabbed the drugs. He told the woman not to call for help and he fled. The woman discovered that her cell phone had been broken and ran to a neighbor’s home, where she summoned police.

The robbery happened in the 21900 block of 44th Avenue W.

The suspect is white and is his mid-20s to early 30s. He is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds. One of his front teeth is graying and sticks out. He was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a gray beanie-type cap. He also wore latex gloves during the robbery.
