Police pursuit on I-5 runs through Mountlake Terrace

From our friends at Lynnwood Today:

A police pursuit that started at 9:30 a.m. just east of Mill Creek ended around 10 a.m. ago on I-5 just south of Northgate.

It began when a deputy spotted a suspect that Mill Creek Police had probable cause to arrest for eluding. The deputy tried to stop the suspect in his car, but he took off.

He entered southbound I-5 at 128th Street SW, then drove his small black sedan on the freeway through Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace. Just south of Northgate he crossed the median and went into the northbound lanes where he struck a small freight truck. No serious injuries are reported.

The suspect, a man in his early 20?s, suffered some cuts to his face and was taken to the hospital before being booked into jail.

Three lanes on northbound I-5 are closed during the investigation.
