The City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department business office will close from Friday, April 16 through Tuesday, April 20 for cleaning, painting and refurnishing the records and lobby areas. Basic office services will be limited to phone calls and email correspondence during the closure. The office will reopen on Wednesday, April 21 at 7:30 a.m. This closure will not affect regular police patrol operations. People should still call 911 if they need an officer.
The refurnishing includes the installation of panels at the front counter to provide more privacy for the public as they speak with Records staff. To improve the overall safety and security of the facility, video cameras will also be installed during the closure. These cameras were purchased with federal grant funds.
Violations Bureau payments may still be made at the drop box outside of the lobby. Disabled parking spaces will used for loading and unloading purposes during this time since the business office is closed, but there will be 30 minute parking available directly in front of the police department.
For more information on this closure, please contact the City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department Management Analyst Joie Worthen at (425) 670-8260 or email mltpd@ci.mlt.wa.us.
