Planning Commission to consider Town Center Development regulations and Comp Plan update at Monday’s meeting

City-of-MLT-logoThe Mountlake Terrace Planning Commission has plenty on its plate for Monday’s meeting.

The Commission will be looking at City staff’s proposals for Town Center Development Regulations. Among the proposals are to strictly regulate auto-oriented uses, to prohibit most parking lots except those that are City-owned or that provide parking for an established use in the Town Center, to specify a minimum depth of commercial spaces to ensure that they are viable to potential tenants and to specify a minimum lot size.

The Commission also will continue its review of the 2015 Comprehensive Plan Draft Update and will consider an amendment to Driveway Standards that would eliminate the 250-foot maximum length provision and instead require conformance to all fire code access and turn-around requirements.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Mountlake Terrace Interim City Hall, 6100 219th St. SW., Suite 220, second floor.
