The Mountlake Terrace Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing Monday on a draft ordinance that would allow outdoor archery under a conditional use permit in the Light Industrial/Professional Office District.
This staff-initiated proposal was presented to the Planning Commission at its Nov. 10 meeting. Currently, archery is limited to indoor use under the definition of “indoor shooting ranges.” The proposal would specify “outdoor archery” as a separate use from an indoor shooting range. It would be listed as a conditional use in order to provide great oversight.
The Planning Commission also is scheduled to discuss updating the Subdivision Regulations Ordinance. The issue was brought up at a previous City Council meeting.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the interim City Hall, 6100 219th St. SW., Suite 200, Mountlake Terrace.
