Pipe burst at Creekside Apartments Displaces Residents

A burst pipe at the Creekside Apartments in Mountlake Terrace on Sunday resulted in the American Red Cross providing temporary housing for the displaced residents.

The Snohomish County Chapter Red Cross responded to a water/sewage pipe breaking at Creekside Apartments Complex in Mountlake Terrace on the afternoon on Sunday, May 15.

A pipe burst in the unit on the top floor of the building and drained down thru the unit on the second floor and into the unit on the ground floor, through the fire alarm outlets and light fixtures. Three total units were affected. One unit sustained minimal damage but was deemed uninhabitable.

The Red Cross provided emergency lodging for those residents displaced. The clients were put into the hotel for three nights and comfort kits were given.

The Snohomish County Chapter of the Red Cross says that all assistance is made possible by the generous contributions of the community and that the response to incidents such as these and other disasters is made of of dedicated volunteers.
