We recently received this report of a pit bull attacking another dog at the MLT dog park from MLTnews reader, Catherine.
Today I witnessed a pit bull attack an American Eskimo dog at the MLT Dog Park. The pit bull gave no warning and sunk her teeth into the dog while the dog shrieked in fear and pain. At least five people tried to pull the pit bull away from the dog. The owner slammed his dog into the ground but the dog got loose and ran after the little white dog AGAIN! It was horrifying and an unprovoked attack.
The American Eskimo suffered substantial damage to one of his ears and had a puncture wound in his neck. He had surgery this afternoon to repair the damage.
THAT pit bull was very sweet and nice to everyone too — up to 30 seconds before the attack. We contacted the MLT police and made a report. If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn’t have believed it, but that dog SNAPPED.
Please control your animals, people.
I’ll check in with the MLT PD to see if any charges come from this.

The man who owned the pit bull mix gave his name and phone number to the couple, but he’s not answering their calls. I looked him up on the Internet and found his Lynnwood address and gave it to the couple. They, in turn, will give his address to the police and hopefully he’ll be required to own up to his responsibility.
If you see a 60+ year old man named Michael with a mostly white with spots of light brown pit mix (female), be very cautious around that dog. She is dangerous.
My Eskimo was attacked by a Pitbull off leash seemingly sweet but it too lunged at my dog from nowhere and when she squealed it out rightly attacked her going straight for her neck, her ear too was badly damaged as I pulled her away and saved her from death. She is 18/20 labs, that dog at least 25/30. It will take a little time but she is spunky. I reported it to the police who will take the dog into quarantine and spoke to the owner about the costs which she had. Offered to pay for.
