The unique artwork of Amylynn Richards will be exhibited at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300-58th Ave. W., during the month of August.
Richards uses Nikon cameras and lenses, then paints digitally and prints her fine art and portraits on canvas, metal and acrylic.
In 2012, Richards left a budding journalism career to open an art gallery and studio. Her passion is to capture emotion through photography and graphic design, and loves working with high school seniors and brides to create personal artwork for family home and office collections.
Richards is a member of La Conner Chamber of Commerce, Professional Photographers of America, and National Association of Photoshop Professionals. She contributes to the Washington State Prep Athletics Network as an action sports photographer, covering five school districts in Skagit County and various WIAA State Championship events.
The Amylynn Richards show will run Aug. 1-31, Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m. The show is presented by the Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission, which oversees the library’s monthly exhibits as part of its mission to promote cultural events in the community.
