The ninth annual Blessing of the Pets service at Bethesda Lutheran Church drew a crowd of animals and their owners Sunday morning in Mountlake Terrace.Eight dogs, three cats, one parrot and one hedgehog were blessed by Pastor Malcolm Brown. Today’s program is to honor St. Francis of Assisi, who “loved all creatures great and small and treated them like family. And so, inspired by Francis, we gather today to honor and celebrate all creatures and the special relationships we share with them.”
