Pet Adventure, located in the Cedar Plaza Shopping Center, is hosting Dog Adoption Days this weekend. A number of rescue dogs will be in the store available for adoption Saturday, March 31, noon-5 p.m. and Sunday, April 1, noon-4:00 p.m.
“We will have a dozen or so dogs that are currently living in foster homes available for adoption this weekend,” said Pet Adventure owner Keith Sternberg. All the dogs were obtained from shelters by Ginger’s Pet Rescue of North Seattle, which takes in neglected and abandoned animals, and then places them in foster homes until they are adopted.
Pet Adventure has hosted dog adoption opportunities previously; Sternberg decided to extend the event over two days to give prospective owners plenty of time to consider an adoption. “People come that are undecided, then will some back on Sunday to see if the dog they are interested in is still there,” he said.
Pet Adventure is located at the north end of the Cedar Plaza Shopping Center at 22803-44th Ave. W. More information about the store can be found at PetAdventure@comcast.net. An application and fee are required to adopt any dog; information about the process can be found at www.gingerspetrescue.org.
They are great for the community!
