Nina Penner, MTHS Sophomore and Mountlake Terrace High School’s only qualifying track and field athlete, placed 9th in the 4A state meet in the 800 meter on Saturday. After qualifying second in her heat earlier in the day with a time of 2:17.97, Nina moved on to the finals with a time of 2:16.40 to place 9th.
Anna Dailey of Garfield placed 1st in the 800 meter with a time of 2:11.92.
