The pavement markings for the 230th Street SW Reconstruction project were completed a couple weeks ago. The markings extend from 56th Avenue W to the east end of the 228th Street SW bridge over Interstate 5. The nearly one-month delay in finishing this part the project was due to the inability of the striping subcontractor to obtain pavement striping paint and thermoplastics caused by a nationwide shortage of these materials. Following installation of the markings, only a small number of minor items remain to fully complete the construction project.
I’ve heard from several homeowners on 230th and they all say that while many of them lost some parking area when the road was widened and sidewalks added, they are enjoying the new street and sidewalks. They were especially pleased with the resotration work that was done using rockeries, fences and new grass/landscaping.
