Parents and their babies invited to register for PEPS group

Do you have a crooner, crawler or cranky teether? Baby Peppers is a PEPS, Program for Early Parent Support, group for parents of 5-12 year olds; a Mountlake Terrace/Edmonds Baby Peppers group is now accepting registrations for meetings that begin April 1,

In a PEPS group, parents meet with their babies and learn from one another, with the purpose of building confidence in one’s own parenting skills. Each meeting is facilitated by a trained volunteer and includes time for sharing parenting highs and lows, followed by discussion of a parenting topic. Sessions run 11 weeks and include times for informal socializing with other parents.

Baby Peppers is open to all families with babies 5-12 months old at the start of the group sessions. The Mountlake Terrace/Edmonds group will meet every Monday from noon to 1:30 p.m. April 1 through June 17 in the Hall Creek Office Park at 6912-220th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace.

Families who live in South Snohomish County within the Verdant Health District will automatically receive a 35-percent program fee reduction when registering for the Mountlake Terrace/Edmonds Baby Peppers group, thanks to a grant from the Verdant Health Commission. The reduced program fee is $100 for the 1-week session; scholarships are also available.

Program for Early Parent Support is a non-profit organization based in Seattle. You can find more information about the group here.
