PACE-IT program offers free tuition for five Information Technology certificates

edcclogo Students interested in Edmonds Community College’s PACE-IT (Progressive Accelerated Certificates for Employment in Information Technology) program can apply online anytime or can register for and attend a PACE-IT information and admission session.

The sessions will be held on the first Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. through December in the Maltby Building, room 109, 7020 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. In addition to the campus sessions, four Skype sessions are scheduled.

In the PACE-IT program, students pay no tuition and work at their own pace to earn an IT certificate online. They pay only for books, college fees, and any IT industry certification exam fees.

The next sessions are May 6, May 7 (Skype), June 3, July 1, July 2 (Skype), Aug. 5, Sept. 2, Sept. 3 (Skype), Oct. 7, Nov. 4, Nov. 5 (Skype), and Dec. 2. To attend an information and admission session, sign up online at www.edcc.edu/pace-it/information-sessions.html.

With a cover letter and resume, interested students will be able to:

  • learn about program requirements and apply for the program,

  • take the online readiness assessment test, and

  • possibly be admitted into the program that evening.

  • Web Developer

  • Data Management

  • Introduction to Network Security

  • Ethical Hacker
