MLTnews presents the Dog of the Week, Sonny, from Mountlake Terrace-based Forever Home Dog Rescue.

Here’s her story:

My name is Sonny. I’m a one-year-old chihuahua mix, just 10 little pounds. I love going for walks and spending time with my people. I love to snuggle whenever possible but also likes to play and chase balls and return them to you. I am playful with the other dogs in my foster home and get along well with other dogs. I haven’t met cats yet. I’m a bit shy when I meet new people and it takes me a little while to get comfortable. I’m spayed, current on vaccination, microchipped and flea treated. My adopted fee is $350.

Her foster mom says Sonny “is very fun, loves to play with toys and other dogs, doesn’t have any fear of big dogs and her favorite playmate is our pit bull. She is an incredibly fast runner and when we let her lose she will dart across the field and make a couple circles before coming back. She is super loyal and loving, never runs away from us and loves to give kisses and cuddle. She is afraid of some men and a little shy at first but once she trusts a person she shows her wonderful loving and playful nature.”

• Your application will be screened and you will receive a phone call with more information.
• A Meet and Greet will be set up. All members of your household (dogs and humans) must attend the meet and greet.
• Pay the adoption fee, sign the adoption contract and receive the dog’s health records
