Our ‘Forever Home’ Dog of the Week: Lacy

MLTnews presents the Dog of the Week, Lacy, a 5-year-old Pomeranian from Forever Home Dog Rescue. Lacy’s family had bought her as a puppy from a breeder, and left her recently at the Port Angeles shelter with no reason for giving her up. She had a rotten tooth, completely black with infection, a belly full of worms and kennel cough.

Lacy has a very sweet and quiet demeanor. She likes to follow her foster mom around or just sit and watch her people. She also likes to get her cuddle time in. She will be available for adoption in a couple of weeks, as soon as she’s healthy and spayed. Her adoption fee is $350.

Forever Home Dog Rescue is taking pre-applications for her adoption, and is also accepting financial donations to help with veterinary bills and transportation cost for dogs like Lacey, who come from out-of-area shelters and need additional care. Donations can be made through Pay Pal, select the option “send money” and enter the email address info@foreverhomedogrescue.org or by mail to Forever Home Dog Rescue, 22803 44th Ave. W., Suite B-4, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043. All donations are tax deductible.

If you are interested in adopting Lacy, here’s the process:

  • Fill out the Adoption Application and email it to info@foreverhomedogrescue.org
  • Your application will be screened and you will receive a phone call with more information.
  • A Meet and Greet will be set up. All members of your household (dogs and humans) must attend the meet and greet.
  • Pay the adoption fee, sign the adoption contract and receive the dog’s health records

Forever Home is holding an adoption event at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at Dmarie’s Doggie Boutique, 9639 Firdale Ave., Suite B in Edmonds.
