In addition to the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center, transit and ferry riders can now purchase the ORCA smart card at a second location in town, Roger’s Market, 23120-56th Ave. W.
Roger’s Marketplace is one of about 120 retail stores in the Puget Sound region that began offering the cards for both purchase and reloading earlier this month.
“Since ORCA was launched four years ago, riders looking to buy or load value on their card have been clamoring for more convenience,” said ORCA Joint Board Vice Chair and King County Metro General Manager Kevin Desmond. “Thanks to this expanded partnership, we can now bring ORCA to retail outlets closer to home.”
ORCA, which stands for One Regional Card for All, is valid for fare payment on Community Transit, Everett Transit, Kitsap Transit, King County Metro Transit, Pierce Transit and Sound Transit buses and trains, as well as Washington State Ferries.
Customers can purchase new ORCA cards for $5 and load a monthly pass or a monetary value on to their ORCA cards at the service desk of Roger’s Market.
