Competition at the event, sanctioned by the U.S. Figure Skating Association, will be take place beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, then continue starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 30-June 1.
Close to 350 skaters from 30 skating clubs are expected at the four-day competition. Skaters range in age from 3 to 67 years old, and will compete in five different categories: Juvenile, Intermediate, Novice, Junior, and Senior.
“This is an exciting and fun competition for skaters, spectators, officials, and volunteers, where we can all cheer for the brand-new skaters who have never competed before as well as the seasoned veterans who are landing double and triple jumps with grace,” said Celeste Jackson, Ice Fest Co-Chair.
“As is true every year, this event is free to spectators,” Jackson added.
