The Mountlake Terrace Recreation and Parks Department, in partnership with Swedish Hospital, is providing the latest information on healthy eating and exercise on a new nutrition display board located in the Recreation Pavilion, 5303-228th St. S.W. The board, located near the locker rooms, consists of fliers mounted on a display board with a kiosk section for fliers that visitors can take home with them.
The nutrition board is the direct result of partnering with the “Creating Community Connections” group and thinking of ways to serve the public in a more complete manner. Creating Community Connections is a group of cities, non-profit organizations, the Edmonds School District, Verdant Health Commission, and Swedish Hospital, whose goal is to improve the health and well being of south Snohomish County residents.
