Waste Management will not make any residential curbside pickups in Mountlake Terrace on Wednesday, Aug. 1, according to a posting on the company’s website late Tuesday.
“Unfortunately, we will not provide your regularly scheduled service today,” the posting said. “Waste Management will collect additional material on your next regular service day at no additional charge and are working diligently to expand our service capacities.”
Waste Management recycling and yard waste collection drivers have been on strike since Wednesday, July 25; the company’s garbage collection drivers are supporting the walkout by not crossing the picket lines.
Other Snohomish County communities that will not see curbside collections on Wednesday include parts of Brier, Snohomish and Index. Waste Management will be attempting residential pickups in Mill Creek, Bothell and a number of King County cities.
Waste Management is advising commercial customers in Snohomish County to set out and/or unlock containers as they would on a normal service day. The website is unclear as to whether a collection would actually be made
