Next Launch Lab seminar for small business owners set for May 13

mltnewsThe next Launch Lab for Entrepreneurs, a free seminar with tools and resources to support new businesses, is scheduled for May 13.

“Launch Lab” is a series of seminars to help prepare entrepreneurs and small business owners in launching new businesses and products. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Girandola, Snohomish County WorkSource, and the City of Mountlake Terrace will host the next “Launch Lab: Mountlake Terrace,” from noon-1:30 p.m.

Launch Labs are hands-on, action-oriented workshops designed to put ideas on paper. The series of Mountlake Terrace Launch Labs includes:

May 13 Social Media Tips & Tools

June 10 Creating Customer Value

July 8 Selling a Service

Aug. 12 Franchising 101

Sept. 9 Become a PR Powerhouse

Oct. 14 Finding Funding

Nov. 4 Powerful Pitching

Dec. 9 Lunchtime Launch Pad (formerly Dolphin Tank)

Launch Lab seminars build on one another, but may be attended as stand-alone classes. Launch Labs are the second Wednesday of the month from noon-1:30 p.m., except for Nov. 4, which is the first Wednesday. In its second year, Launch Lab is held at the Mountlake Terrace Interim City Hall Council Chambers located at 6100 219th Street SW, Suite 220.

The series of monthly workshops, all free, teach future business owners the ins and outs of entrepreneurship and culminates in a Launch Pad pitch session where selected participants present their business vision and goals to real investors.
