New Mountlake Terrace Police Chief

Well okay, not really.

City press release:

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE–On Tuesday, June 9, 2009, the City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department welcomed Chief Angus Benson. Angus is a 7-year-old student at Mountlake Terrace Elementary School (Go Hawks!). His family bid on the opportunity to be Chief for a Day at his school’s silent auction this year.

Angus is a police enthusiast and was thrilled when his family won the bid. Chief Benson reported for duty at 1530 hours on 6/9/09. The young crime fighter was sworn in by Chief Wilson and then taken on a tour of the police
department. Chief Benson chatted with staff and then reviewed and approved several documents for the department. The Chief then met with the City Manager, followed by a fleet inspection of the police cars. Chief Benson even found time to search and cuff a suspect (Chief Wilson). After his busy day, Chief took care of some final administrative details and lifted a few fingerprints before heading home.

The police department thoroughly enjoyed Chief Benson’s visit and wish him the best of luck.
