City of Mountlake Terrace Police Chief Greg Wilson administered the oath of office to new Reserve Police Officer Mike Ellis during the December 16 City Council meeting. “It’s an honor and privilege to swear in our new Reserve Police Officer,” said Wilson.

“I appreciate the opportunity that everybody is giving me in coming on board with Mountlake Terrace and am glad to be here,” said Ellis, a 2012 graduate from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business. After attending the Reserve Officer Academy in Burien, Ellis began his law enforcement career as a Reserve Officer in Napavine, Washington.

At the swearing in ceremony, the City Council, along with several members of the police department and other city staff, offered congratulations to the city’s newest officer.
