New MLT Councilmember Wahl’s swearing in rescheduled for Sept. 4

After a week that included a canceled work/study session and a special meeting to appoint a new councilmember, the Mountlake Terrace City Council will be back to its regular schedule starting with Monday night’s City Council meeting at 7 p.m. at interim City Hall. But its newest member won’t be there; Bryan Wahl’s swearing in has been rescheduled for Sept. 4.

Wahl was selected over eight other candidates to fill the Position 5 vacancy on Aug. 14. Due to a prior commitment, Wahl will not be in attendance at this week’s council meeting; he will take his seat on the council with its  first meeting in September, moved to Tuesday, Sept. 4 due to the Labor Day holiday on the first Monday of the month.

The Monday, Aug. 20 council meeting will include reports on the city’s 2012 comprehensive plan amendment process, an economic development activity report and the appointment of a council member to a Sound Transit light rail link leadership group. The council will also make a proclamation of Monday, Aug. 20, as World Taekwondo Day in Mountlake Terrace.
